15 Things a Single Pet Doesn’t Say

  1. If I don’t eat my food now, someone else will eat it…

  2. And if she eats it, Mom or Dad will think I ate it when I say I am hungry…

  3. You can guarantee the toy that you want, someone else wants too regardless of how many look the exact same, let me tell you it is not the same…

  4. I'd rather not play at all if I am told to choose another…

  5. And you know how human kids try to get you caught in the middle…you haven’t seen anything yet…

  6. Don’t even attempt to reason with us, it doesn’t work…there isn’t anything that will persuade us to take our eye off the ball we want!

  7. Someone else will want to be where you are – always (Do you have a favorite chair or mug? Enough said!)

  8. Why can’t I catch the ball without him thinking all balls that fly or roll are his?

  9. Who’s this gate for anyway? I am feeling stuck out versus him being kept in…

  10. Geez, all I did was walk down the hall and I am getting yelled at for being there…

  11. Why does he think the food in my bowl is his!?

  12. Who came up with this pecking order anyway?

  13. I just want fifteen minutes alone with my person…can I at least have five minutes please

  14. There is no sneaking down the hall - ever…

  15. Darn where did my treat go, I just put it down for a moment…

If you are the human to multiple animal family members, I am sure a few of these will ring true for you. For those that are parents to single animal kids, see what you are missing! All the fun - and the opportunity to don at least one new hat practicing your nonverbal and verbal communication skills.
