Lightbulb Moments and Downloads
What does it mean to get a download or a lightbulb moment? I think it means different things to each one of us. For me, a light bulb experience or aha can be an immediate understanding of a concept I have struggled with for years or that I just could not breakthrough to access the information. It’s as though a light has been turned on within me whereas before that knowledge was locked away.
It can be a knowing deep within my soul. This occurred during my first visit to Arizona. While walking down a street that level of knowing came over me that I would move here and within days of returning to Georgia the thoughts and feelings of what I was working towards shifted within me. For the move, it was a three-year process of steps that eventually all lined up.
When I started Dream Pet Care, it wasn’t a blip on the radar. Yes, I helped a friend twice with visiting with her pets. However, the idea came through to create a business one day while integrating some unrelated concepts from a class in November of 2015 and two months later, I had submitted paperwork for licensing, gotten insurance and had my first assignment.
I did not have all the pieces of that puzzle nor the understanding of the path I was stepping into at that time - it is truly a calling of love in many beautiful ways. This style of newness has been infrequent where that level of energy comes in to get me beyond and through any questions that bring stopgaps to the surface while moving me past the push for a level of perfection before it can be implemented.
Often the inner quest for perfection before we do xyz can keep us from moving forward. When this occurred for me, the creative energy drops off and the project or idea goes into limbo. Or the opposite can occur where I push so hard to get through it that it feels rushed by me and for those receiving whatever it is.
Another download came through at the end of January with a few “act on” concepts. I am very excited to see where each goes. The first melds together two loves and is shaping into a new pet service. Unlike the year-round options, this one will be offered for certain months of the year locally as it’s based on the temperatures being below a heat threshold.
In a download everything flows in, lines up, and at no point are you questioning it or the process. It is all systems go with the magnificent energy that brings it all together. It offers an immediate solution based on key elements that have been surfacing within me or my life in recent months.
The journey in life and especially in business is one of continuous learning, overcoming inner obstacles, working through emotions, moving through the outer dynamics, integration and growth. It can also be one that is up leveled by these lightbulb moments and downloads.
