Reiki is a non-invasive practice of integrative and natural
healing that promotes optimal health and well-being. Reiki, originating in Japan, was brought into existance by Dr. Mikao Usui. It works to aid the
animal or human in the faciliation of their own healing response. Reiki is derived from two Japanese words. Rei meaning "universal" and ki meaning "life force
Visual Responses by Animals Receiving Energy
Animals tend to often exhibit a variety of temperaments when receiving Reiki. Some move in and out of the space, others may eat or drink
water throughout the session (similar to a person who has had a massage to move the energy or toxins from the body) and others may rest or sleep. All are receiving
in their own way. Many show they wish to receive by licking my hands and will do so again to show that they are done and thanking me.
